August 2008 / Bott Radio Network Team Members Attend Blackhawk Leadership Summit, August 7th & 8th
Over 300 Christian pastors and leaders gathered at Blackhawk Ministries on August 7th and 8th to join with over 80,000 Christ-followers world wide to develop their leadership gifts at Leadership Summit 08, via satellite from Willow Creek Community Church near Chicago. These leaders, including BRN Fort Wayne’s Dale Gerke (Station Manager), Larry Smith (Account Executive), Terry Foss (Director of Public Relations) and Lea Hittle (Control Room Operator) were taught and inspired by Bill Hybels, Chuck Colson, and other high-impact leadership experts.
During a quick “stand-up” break, conversation and networking abounded among the leaders attending the summit.
During the break times, attendees could stop by display tables, enjoy snacks, and network with other community leaders.
Lea Hittle, Control Room Operator, greeted guests at the 1090 AM display table and shared information, free stuff, and program guides with those who stopped by.
Many people signed up for the BRN Fort Wayne prize drawings. Six winners were announced, all receiving either a book or CD from one of our program ministry partners along with a BRN travel mug and other items. From those six, a grand prize winner was drawn who also received Hank Hanegraaff’s Legacy Study Bible.
Here, one visitor to the WFCV AM 1090 display table picks up a current program guide. The program guides were very popular items at the conference!
